Temporary Winter Drop Off Locations
Eastern Regional Service Board (Eastern Waste Management) has established temporary winter residential waste drop off locations in your area for the period of Tuesday, January 1 to Friday, March 1, 2019. The temporary site is required where roads may become periodically inaccessible throughout the winter. Contractors working on behalf of the Board have been advised to perform curbside waste collection where and when possible (i.e.: if road conditions permit); however, property owners may utilize the winter residential waste drop off location any time to dispose of their waste.
Property owners are advised that these drop off locations are NOT bulk garbage drop-offs. Bulk waste must be discarded during one of the bulk waste-specific collection days as indicated on the collection schedule for the area.

Residents of the Holyrood Area can bring bulk household waste to Robin Hood Bay in St. John’s on Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM, or any of Eastern Waste Management’s Waste Recovery Facilities throughout the region.
The Holyrood Area region services the following communities:
Holyrood, Salmonier Line, Deer Park - Vineland Road, Mahers, Brigus Junction

2019 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events
Eastern Regional Service Board encourages residents of the eastern region to gather their household hazardous waste (HHW) material in preparation for local HHW collection events occuring in September. Please note these HHW events do not accept waste from commercial operators.
Proper disposal of HHW will help prevent hazardous chemicals from products that are poisonous, corrosive, flammable or stored in pressurized containers from contaminating the soil, water, and atmosphere around us. For a list of items generally accepted at the HHW collection events, please click HERE.
The HHW drop off events will take place on September 7 (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) at the following locations respectively:
